The CMA CGM Group has upgraded its Eagle Express 1 (EX1) service, strengthening Japan's trade connections with the United States West Coast and broadening its regional service portfolio. The improved EX1, a weekly U.S.-flag service, now includes additional port calls in Japan at Kobe, Nagoya, and Yokohama. These enhancements are designed to provide shippers with quicker transit times and increased schedule dependability for cargo destined for the U.S. West Coast.

**Faster Transit to Los Angeles**
Under the revised rotation, cargo will arrive in Los Angeles within:

* 16 days from Kobe
* 14 days from Nagoya
* 12 days from Yokohama

The service benefits from CMA CGM's terminal operations in Los Angeles (FMS), Busan (BNC), and Yokohama (Honmoku D5), which bolster operational reliability and supply chain resilience.

**Improved Inland Connectivity**
Japanese exporters will gain from on-dock rail connections at Los Angeles (FMS), facilitating day-definite deliveries to major markets in the U.S. Midwest and South. This enhanced inland access improves the predictability of the end-to-end supply chain.

The upgraded EX1 also supports U.S. importers sourcing from Japan and ensures consistent export capacity from the U.S. West Coast.

**Service Details**
Seven 5,600 TEU vessels will operate on the enhanced weekly rotation, which is scheduled to begin from Kobe on May 5th.

**New Rotation:** Qingdao – Busan – Kobe – Nagoya – Yokohama – Los Angeles – Oakland – Yokohama – Naha – Busan – Qingdao.
