PSA Singapore (PSA) has held a groundbreaking ceremony for its PSA Supply Chain Hub @ Tuas (PSCH), a key component of its strategic expansion at Tuas Port. The facility is expected to be operational by 2027. Strategically located adjacent to Tuas Port within the Free Trade Zone, the PSCH will be fully integrated into Singapore's comprehensive supply chain network. The facility covers over two million square feet and will feature state-of-the-art robotics and automation. Its cold room is equipped with advanced temperature control systems, ensuring optimal conditions for various temperature-sensitive goods, including food and pharmaceuticals, thereby preserving the quality and integrity of the cold chain. The automated storage and retrieval system, spanning over 100,000 square feet and reaching 40 meters in height, efficiently handles the vertical and horizontal movement of pallets between storage and dispatch areas. Operating around the clock, it guarantees smooth cargo flow with high throughput and precision, enhancing supply chain efficiency and maximizing productivity while minimizing environmental impact. The container freight station warehouse is designed to facilitate multi-country consolidation and deconsolidation, allowing for rapid cargo handling and efficient container packing. It includes dedicated zones for container and truck operations, advanced traffic management, and support for diverse cargo types.
