ORLANDO – While much of the focus on battery technology in trucks has been on potentially replacing what's currently under the hood, Dragonfly Energy showcased its products at the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) annual meeting to promote battery usage in a different part of the vehicle.

The TCA meeting's exhibition hall features both long-standing companies and a few first-time exhibitors. Dragonfly Energy falls into the latter category.

Dragonfly has been in business for about a decade, according to DJ Hasler, an OEM Product Specialist at Dragonfly's booth. However, Dragonfly's primary market has been lithium iron phosphate batteries for the marine and RV sectors.

Among Dragonfly's established non-trucking clients is Airstream, a manufacturer of aluminum travel trailers.
