Malaysian authorities have had a busy month, successfully intercepting several attempts to smuggle electronic waste into the country via shipping containers at Port Klang. In total, nearly 1,000 tonnes of e-waste were seized across five separate incidents. Customs officers grew suspicious due to discrepancies between the declared contents and the actual items found within the containers.
