Perth-based Offshore Supply Vessel (OSV) operator MMA Offshore has secured a contract to perform an offshore wind site survey off the coast of Australia. Working on behalf of its key client, Ørsted, this project represents one of the initial reconnaissance site surveys to be conducted in the Gippsland offshore wind zone following the issuance of feasibility licenses. MMA will deploy its Australian-flagged Offshore Solution Multi-Purpose Supply Vessel (MPSV) and leverage its subsea expertise to gather and deliver crucial subsea data, which will be instrumental in supporting future offshore wind developments in the region. The survey campaign is slated to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024 and is expected to conclude in the first quarter of 2025.
