The LEGO Group, the world's largest toy company, has expanded its collaboration with Kuehne+Nagel with the launch of a new distribution centre in Truganina, Victoria, southeastern Australia. This expansive facility, spanning 26,500 square meters and capable of holding 26,000 pallets, is set to enhance LEGO's B2C and B2B operations for customers throughout Australia and New Zealand. The centre incorporates advanced automation to optimize efficiency and champion sustainability, including carton-reducing technology designed to minimize packaging and waste.

'We are delighted to partner with Kuehne+Nagel as our new logistics partner in the Australian market. This new world-class distribution centre in Truganina will allow us to continue with our expansion plans for this very important market as we strive to reach more kids and adults with our iconic LEGO bricks,' stated Troy Taylor, Vice President & General Manager for LEGO Australia.

Furthermore, the facility is equipped with dual 100kW solar panels to reduce electricity usage and supply surplus energy to the grid. Water-saving technologies are also integrated into the facility's amenities and landscaping.

The distribution centre has achieved a 5-star Green Star Rating, signifying 'Australian excellence' in sustainable building practices, as certified by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).
