Kuehne+Nagel Acquires Lohmöller Road Logistics Business in Germany
Kuehne+Nagel has acquired the road logistics operations of LSL-Lohmöller Spedition und Logistik GmbH, bolstering its domestic and European road freight network. The acquisition encompasses Lohmöller's groupage, less-than-truckload (LTL), and full-truckload (FTL) services. Established in 1930, the family-owned company is headquartered in a significant industrial region in north-west Germany, characterized by substantial road freight activity. In 2024, its road freight division reported revenues of approximately €23.5 million.
The integration of Lohmöller adds 142 logistics professionals and approximately 50 trucks to Kuehne+Nagel's existing German network, further expanding its European presence. Lohmöller's earlier affiliation with IDS, a prominent German groupage freight cooperative in 2026, also strengthens Kuehne+Nagel's standing within this network.
This transaction follows Kuehne+Nagel's acquisition of TDN in Spain last year, underscoring the company's strategic focus on enhancing its European road logistics capabilities.
Hansjörg Rodi, Executive Vice President, Road Logistics at Kuehne+Nagel, stated: "With Lohmöller, we welcome a team that shares our dedication to customer proximity and high-quality services, underpinned by technology and sustainability. We are eager to jointly expand the value we provide to our customers."
Benedikt Lohmöller, representing Lohmöller, commented: "Our long-standing partnership in the international logistics sector, initiated in 2018, has laid a strong foundation for both companies..."
