The import and export of vehicles at Valenciaport are facing challenges. In October, the terminals at the Spanish port handled the loading and unloading of 50,465 vehicles, marking an 11.75% decrease compared to the same month last year.

From January to October, the total number of vehicles handled reached 480,441 units, a decline of 10.43%. On an annual basis, 587,208 vehicles were processed, representing a 9.48% reduction.

These figures reflect the state of the automotive industry in Spain and globally, facing various challenges such as labor shortages, geopolitical tensions, and technological disruptions.

Meanwhile, according to the Port Authority of Valencia, the first 10 months of the year saw the handling of 2.74 million tons (Mt) of liquid bulk (-39%); 2.36 Mt of solid bulk (+15.41%); 13.26 Mt of non-containerized goods (+2.63%); 49.37 Mt of goods in containers (+10.76%); 1,484 tons of fish products (+47.34%); and 395,575 tons of victualling supplies (+10%).

Overall, over 68 million tons of goods were processed, translating to a 5.72% increase compared to the same period last year.
