Former Amazon.com Consumer CEO Dave Clark announced on Tuesday that his new software supply chain management startup, Auger, has successfully raised over $100 million in private equity funding. The investment was led by Oak HC/FT, with participation from other investors. Auger aims to offer a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that leverages an artificial intelligence operating system and automation. This platform is designed to provide companies with real-time data and insights, thereby alleviating supply chain pressures. Prior to founding Auger, Clark held a prominent position at Amazon for 23 years, where he played a key role in transforming the company into a global delivery powerhouse. He also briefly served as the CEO of Flexport, a company specializing in data and supply chain logistics for managing orders and shipping. Auger indicated that further details regarding its product roadmap will be revealed in the coming months. (Reuters - Reporting by Zaheer Kachwala; Editing by Krishna Chandra Eluri)
