Newbuilding orders this week have once again been predominantly for feeder vessels. This trend is driven by the strong performance of regional trade routes, which are outperforming long-haul lanes, and the aging feeder fleet. Consequently, recent newbuilding activity has been concentrated on this specific ship size. While some market analysts anticipate a moderation in the general container market during 2026, the current robust demand for newbuildings in the tanker and LNG sectors is, in our opinion, likely to maintain current price levels for the foreseeable future.
