China’s Greater Bay Area to rival New York and Silicon Valley as global tech and economic hubs

The Greater Bay Area (GBA) initiative is a cornerstone of Beijing’s long-term vision for economic development and global competitiveness.

By integrating Hong Kong, Macau, and nine cities in Guangdong province into a cohesive economic cluster, the GBA aims to rival leading global economic hubs like the New York Metropolitan Area and the San Francisco Bay Area.
