APM Terminals Appoints New Leadership at Port of Salalah and Suez Canal Container Terminal
APM Terminals (APMT) has announced the appointment of new Managing Directors for two of its key facilities: the Port of Salalah in Oman and the Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT) in Egypt. Steven Yoogalingam will assume the role of Managing Director at the Port of Salalah, effective November 1, 2024. Yoogalingam brings extensive experience to this position, having previously served as the Managing Director of the Suez Canal Container Terminal. His career with APM Terminals also includes significant roles at the Aqaba Container Terminal in Jordan and the Port of Tanjung Pelepas in Malaysia. Additionally, he has garnered international port expertise from his work in Jebel Ali, Dubai, and Busan, South Korea. Yoogalingam, a Malaysian national, holds a law degree from King's College London and has completed several executive management programs with APM Terminals. Concurrently, Keld Mosgaard Christensen has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT), also effective November 1, 2024. Christensen transitions to SCCT from his recent role as Managing Director at the Port of Salalah. Prior to his time in Oman, he held positions with APM Terminals in Poti, Georgia, and at the company's headquarters in The Hague, Netherlands. Christensen holds a Master's degree in Law from the University of Aarhus and began his career with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he advanced through various roles.
