Whirlpool to Lay Off Over 300 at Iowa Plant as Machinists Attempt to Save Jobs
Appliance manufacturer Whirlpool has announced plans to lay off more than 300 employees at its Amana, Iowa plant. The company also intends to implement a second round of job cuts at the facility in the second quarter of 2026 and will be relocating production to its operations in Mexico. Machinists at the plant are reportedly working to find ways to preserve these jobs.
