Synergy Marine Group MAERSK FINISTERRE

Synergy Marine Group has expanded its portfolio of sustainable maritime assets with the addition of the MAERSK FINISTERRE to its technical management fleet. This 5,915 TEU container vessel is a significant addition to the industry’s transition toward alternative fuels, as it is equipped with a state-of-the-art methanol dual-fuel propulsion system.

The vessel is owned by NKS Canopus (part of the Nissen Kaiun Singapore Group) and is currently operating under a long-term charter to Maersk. Technical management is handled by Synergy Pacific Pvt. Ltd., the vessel’s Document of Compliance (DOC) holder.

Technical Specifications & Capabilities

The MAERSK FINISTERRE represents a new generation of mid-sized “green” containerships designed for high efficiency and lower environmental impact.

  • Capacity: 5,915 TEU (including capacity for approximately 1,400 reefer plugs).

  • Propulsion: Methanol dual-fuel system, capable of running on both conventional marine fuels and green methanol.

  • Dimensions: Approximately 265 meters in length (LOA) and 38 meters in beam.

  • Environmental Impact: When powered by green methanol, the vessel can significantly reduce lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions.
