Petrobras hires liftboat pair from OOS International
Brazilian state-owned oil and gas giant Petrobras has hired two accommodation liftboats from Dutch-based OOS International to support decommissioning operations.The deal, worth R$1.2bn ($218m), was won following a bidding process. OOS International won the contract for the 2020-built Jin Hua 01 and Jin Hua 02 vessels together with its partner Camorim Serviços Marítimos.The pair of self-elevating liftboat vessels will support maintenance and readiness operations for decom operations in the Sergipe-Alagoas and Rio Grande do Norte-Ceará basins for three years.The units will operate at depths of up to 48 m and will provide support and accommodation for fixed platforms set to be decommissioned in the future.
