Noble sells six jackups for $424m to Borr and Ocean Oilfield Drilling
Offshore drilling giant Noble Corporation has signed definitive agreements to sell six jackups for a total of $424m.Noble sold five rigs to Borr in a transaction comprising $210m in cash and $150m in seller notes. The <em>Noble Tom Prosser</em>, <em>Noble Mick O’Brien</em>, <em>Noble Regina Allen</em>, <em>Noble Resilient</em>, and <em>Noble Resolute </em>will become part of Borr’s fleet. The transaction is expected to close in early 2026.The $150 million in proposed seller notes to Borr are expected to have a six-year maturity and are secured by a first lien on three jackups, <em>Noble Tom Prosser</em>, <em>Noble Regina Allen</em>, and <em>Noble Resilient</em>.Noble will operate two of the rigs sold to Borr, <em>Noble Mick O’Brien</em> and <em>Noble Resolute</em>, under a one-year bareboat charter agreement.The sixth sold rig, <em>Noble Resolve</em>, was bought by Ocean Oilfield Drilling for $64m in cash. Closing is expected in the second quarter of 2026 upon conclusion of the rig’s current contract.Upon closing of these transactions, Noble will be a pure-play deepwater and ultra-harsh environment jackup operator.
