Offshore drilling giant Noble Corporation has signed definitive agreements to sell six jackups for a total of $424m.
Noble sold five rigs to Borr in a transaction comprising $210m in cash and $150m in seller notes. The Noble Tom Prosser, Noble Mick O’Brien, Noble Regina Allen, Noble Resilient, and Noble Resolute will become part of Borr’s fleet. The transaction is expected to close in early 2026.
The $150 million in proposed seller notes to Borr are expected to have a six-year maturity and are secured by a first lien on three jackups, Noble Tom Prosser, Noble Regina Allen, and Noble Resilient.
Noble will operate two of the rigs sold to Borr, Noble Mick O’Brien and Noble Resolute, under a one-year bareboat charter agreement.
The sixth sold rig, Noble Resolve, was bought by Ocean Oilfield Drilling for $64m in cash. Closing is expected in the second quarter of 2026 upon conclusion of the rig’s current contract.
Upon closing of these transactions, Noble will be a pure-play deepwater and ultra-harsh environment jackup operator.
