Konecranes has secured an order from Sunnhordland Kraftlag AS (SKL) to deliver a 355-ton maintenance crane to the Blåfalli Fjellhaugen hydropower plant in Norway. The deal, booked in July 2025, covers the full crane system, rail installation, power supply, and commissioning. Delivery is set for early 2026, with on-site arrival in March.

The crane will play a key role in plant maintenance, handling massive components such as the 355-ton rotor. During the plant’s construction phase, it will operate at 100-ton capacity before being upgraded to its full lifting strength for long-term use.

Built with an SM trolley, in-house gears, motors, and controls, the crane is designed for smooth, heavy-duty performance. A Ramshorn hook will ensure safe handling of large and critical parts.

Konecranes highlighted the project as proof of its ability to deliver tailored solutions under demanding conditions. SKL said it chose Konecranes for its professionalism, expertise, and reputation for quality.
