Combined Cargo Terminals B.V. (CCT) in the Netherlands has ordered a Konecranes Gottwald ESP.7 Mobile Harbor Crane equipped with an external power supply.

The order was booked in the first quarter of 2025 and delivery to CCT’s Moerdijk terminal is scheduled for the third quarter of 2025.

With its 51-meter working radius and visibility for crane drivers, the Konecranes Gottwald ESP.7 Mobile Harbor Crane is the successor of CCT’s existing Model 6 cranes. The equipment is expected to increase handling performance, supported by a higher crane classification in container handling for a longer service life.

The new ESP.7 mobile harbor crane comes with an external power supply for connection to the grid, enabling CCT to further reduce fuel consumption and local emissions. CCT uses its mobile harbor cranes together with a large fleet of Konecranes reach stackers, maintaining high handling speeds across the terminal.

“This latest crane gives us the visibility, reach and speed we need for serving the larger size of vessels increasingly calling at the terminal. Konecranes is a key partner on our growth and sustainability journey, having supplied us with equipment since the start of our operations in 2005,” said Luc Smits, Managing Director of Combined Cargo Terminals.

Located between Rotterdam and Antwerp, the Moerdijk terminal serves as a key trimodal hub to combine transport on rails, road and waterways in Europe. The new crane joins a Konecranes fleet that ensures smooth handling across both sea-going vessels and inland shipping routes.
