Hapag-Lloyd Halts Bookings to and From Upper Gulf
Hapag-Lloyd has temporarily suspended all bookings for cargo destined for or originating from several countries in the Upper Gulf region. This decision was made in response to ongoing operational and security challenges impacting the area.
The booking stop affects all cargo types associated with the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman (specifically Sohar), Saudi Arabia (Dammam and Jubail), and Yemen. The suspension is effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice.
A spokesperson for Hapag-Lloyd stated that the measure is intended to protect cargo, ensure the safe positioning of equipment, and maintain operational standards. The company is closely monitoring the evolving situation in the region.
