Evergreen Marine Corporation has temporarily stopped accepting new bookings for several key Middle East ports due to the ongoing and evolving security situation in the region. This suspension is effective immediately and impacts shipments destined for or originating from Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia (with the exception of Jeddah), and Iraq via the port of Umm Qasr.

According to Evergreen, this decision is a proactive measure to ensure the safety of their crews, vessels, and customers' cargo. The company has stated that their local offices will be reaching out to customers with cargo currently in transit or already booked to discuss and arrange alternative logistics and handling solutions.
