CEO Tobias Meyer said DHL remains confident in India despite global trade headwinds. He noted that India’s diversification strategy and business-friendly policies support long-term investment and enable DHL to deliver more reliable, sustainable logistics solutions.
India is also becoming a global technology hub for DHL, with more than 1,300 digital and logistics specialists. The new IT Services Center and training academy in Indore will develop skills in automation and AI to support the company’s digitalization roadmap.
India’s global trade footprint continues to expand. DHL’s Global Connectedness Tracker expects India’s average goods-trade distance to reach 6,190 km in 2025, reflecting growing links with 24 countries across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. DHL’s global network in 220 markets positions it to support India’s rising role in international supply chains.
Sustainability remains central to DHL’s strategy. The Group aims to reduce CO₂ emissions to 29 million metric tons by 2030 and reach net-zero emissions by 2050. In India, DHL is advancing fleet electrification, building low-emission facilities, and expanding GoGreen Plus solutions that use renewable fuels and electric vehicles.
