COSCO SHIPPING Europe’s 68,000 DWT methanol-ready vessel, Green Kotka, has set a new milestone in offshore wind transport. The ship successfully delivered 60 B81 turbine blades, each 82 meters long and weighing 85 tons.
The project used a custom stowage plan and an innovative blade support structure, allowing double-layer stacking. This breakthrough doubles transport efficiency and overcomes previous single-layer limits.
The achievement marks a significant step forward for sustainable logistics in the offshore wind sector and demonstrates COSCO SHIPPING Europe’s commitment to innovative, eco-friendly solutions.
