AD Ports Group, one of the major providers of integrated trade, transport, and logistics solutions, has announced a strategic partnership between its digital arm, Maqta Technologies Group, and Pakistan Single Window (PSW), a state-owned entity designated by the Federal Government of Pakistan to operate the Pakistan Single Window System.

This digital platform streamlines cross-border trade by enabling traders to submit import, export, and transit-related data through a unified digital portal.

The collaboration is set to accelerate digital innovation and enhance efficiency in Pakistan’s trade ecosystem by leveraging the expertise of both organizations in developing and deploying cutting-edge digital solutions.

As part of the partnership, Maqta Technologies and PSW will introduce value-added services, including digital customs clearance, smart warehousing, risk management systems, e-commerce solutions, cargo and port community systems, Single Window services, trade finance, and predictive analytics for trade optimization and risk management.

The partnership aims to streamline trade processes, minimize delays, and enhance transparency and regulatory compliance by integrating advanced technologies such as AI, blockchain, and IoT.

Dr. Noura Al Dhaheri, CEO of Digital Cluster and CEO of Maqta Technologies Group – AD Ports Group, commented: “Our partnership with Pakistan Single Window highlights our dedication to enhancing cross-border trade through advanced digital solutions. We will leverage our combined capabilities to unlock new commercial opportunities and maximise trade facilitation in Pakistan and global markets.”

Under the agreement, both entities will collaborate to identify and develop joint commercial opportunities in global digital trade facilitation and logistics solutions. The collaboration also seeks to enhance compliance, secure trade transactions, and promote environmentally sustainable trade practices through paperless documentation and carbon-efficient logistics.

Syed Aftab Haider, CEO of Pakistan Single Window, stated:” This partnership marks a significant step in PSW’s vision to contribute to international trade facilitation on a global scale by forging new partnerships and collaborations with the leading players in the region. Maqta Technologies Group brings invaluable global expertise and experience in digital solutions for customs and trade, while PSW’s is quickly emerging as the most successful single window implementation experience in the region. Together, we are well positioned to drive meaningful advancements in trade facilitation.”

Furthermore, Pakistan is a key market in AD Ports Group’s strategic expansion in Central Asia, serving as the maritime gateway for the “Middle Corridor” connecting Asia and Europe. AD Ports Group has made significant investments in maritime and logistics infrastructure along this corridor, including projects in Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

The redevelopment of Karachi Port, Pakistan’s primary maritime hub with overland connections to Central Asia, is a crucial initiative aimed at transforming the “Middle Corridor” into a modern, cost-effective maritime route.

Maqta Technologies Group’s recent partnership with Pakistan Single Window aligns with AD Ports Group’s broader expansion strategy in Pakistan, which began in 2023. The Group secured a 50-year concession through Kaheel Terminals to operate five container terminal berths at Karachi’s East Wharf. In 2024, it further strengthened its presence with a 25-year concession to manage seven general and bulk cargo berths at the same location.
