AD Ports Group has signed a collaboration plan with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) to advance cooperation in transport, infrastructure, and logistics digitalisation across the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) region.

The agreement was formalised by H.E. Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure at the EEC, and Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of AD Ports Group.

“Deepening cooperation in transport and infrastructure with a world-class partner such as AD Ports Group represents an important step for the further development of international transport and logistics ties of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Our cooperation will serve as a dynamic catalyst for the growth of the Union’s relationship with the UAE, bringing mutual benefits,” said H.E. Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Eurasian Economic Commission.

Under the plan, AD Ports Group and the EEC will explore ways to accelerate collaboration and knowledge transfer in transport infrastructure and logistics digitalisation, including the potential establishment of new logistics hubs in EEU member states.

Moreover, the cooperation also aims to standardise and streamline electronic documentation, enhance digital system integration, align regulatory frameworks, and attract new investments into logistics infrastructure.

“Our collaboration with the Eurasian Economic Commission marks a vital step towards bridging global trade routes and strengthening the UAE’s strategic partnership with the Eurasian Economic Union.

By sharing our expertise in terminal operations, digital transformation, and maritime logistics, we aim to build a more resilient and efficient supply chain that benefits both our Group and our partners,” said Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO, AD Ports Group.

Additionally, the UAE has become a key trade hub for EEU countries, with bilateral trade reaching nearly USD 30 billion in 2024, up 27% from the previous year, according to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade.

AD Ports Group continues to expand its presence in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, developing logistics hubs along the Middle Corridor trade route connecting China and Europe. The company has invested in port terminals, shipping assets, and logistics infrastructure in Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

In Kazakhstan, AD Ports Group partners with KazMorTransFlot (KMTF) to transport oil across the Caspian Sea to Azerbaijan for transfer to western pipeline networks. Earlier this year, it established GulfLink, a joint venture with Kazakhstan Railways’ freight division, to strengthen multimodal connectivity and accelerate digital transformation across the region.
