Unimed Feeder adds Syria call, adjusts Egypt–East Med loop

According to DynaLiners, Unimed Feeder Services (Unifeeder) has revealed full details of its reinstated Egypt–Syria connection, marking an important step in re-establishing direct maritime links to the Syrian market.

As part of the adjustment, the carrier’s Egypt–Eastmed2 loop will drop its Alexandria call, previously scheduled before Beirut, and replace it with a call at Lattakia. The loop is operated with a single 1,100-TEU vessel.

The updated rotation now connects Port Said, Damietta, Beirut, Lattakia, and returns to Port Said. This change will give regional shippers a direct and more reliable route between Egypt, Lebanon, and Syria, which could reduce transit times and improve cargo flows for industries relying on East Med connections.

The reinstatement of a Syrian port call signals a growing interest in restoring trade links with Syria, where reconstruction and demand for imported goods are gradually rising. For Unimed Feeder, the move strengthens its network across the eastern Mediterranean and provides customers with broader routing options in a market where direct services remain limited.
