Offshore vessel owner and services provider OceanPact has signed a contract worth more than BRL 1bn ($188m) with Trident Energy to perform offshore decommissioning services off Brazil.
The project covers the removal of the subsea infrastructure of the remaining production systems at the P-07, P-12, and P-15 platforms in the Campos Basin. Work is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2026 and last up to three years.
The contract provides for the use of ROV support vessels (RSV) from the company’s fleet, prepared for decommissioning operations. Activities include detailed engineering and mapping, removal of flexible lines and subsea equipment with the support of ROVs, as well as cuts and disconnections.
OceanPact will also take care of the onshore dismantling and environmentally appropriate final disposal, prioritising recycling and stimulating the circular economy.
The subsea operations arm will be responsible for the removal of lines and structures, while OceanPact Geo will conduct the surveys. OceanPact Log will work on land management and dismantling.
