AD Ports Group has secured a major contract to manage and operate the advanced Al Madouneh Customs Centre in Amman, Jordan.

This 1.3 million square meter, state-of-the-art facility, inaugurated in June, is designed to boost Jordan’s trade competitiveness. It features AI-powered customs processes, blockchain-driven transparency, and IoT-enabled logistics optimization to streamline cross-border trade, reduce clearance times, and enhance supply chain efficiency per global trade standards.

Through a strategic collaboration with the Jordan Customs Department, AD Ports Group aims to position Jordan as a regional hub for next-generation logistics and customs operations.

The Al Madouneh Centre integrates advanced technologies and sustainable practices, including automated inspection ramps, smart warehouses, and predictive analytics, to provide faster cargo processing, strengthened security protocols, and a seamless digital trade environment.

Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO of AD Ports Group, explained: “This collaboration highlights AD Ports Group’s commitment to advancing regional trade ecosystems, in line with our wise leadership’s vision. It gives the Group the opportunity to support Jordan’s vision of becoming a regional logistics hub contributing to economic growth and jobs creation for the people of Jordan. We look forward to realising this important trade enhancement project with our partner Jordan Customs Department. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies and fostering economic growth, the Al Madouneh Customs Centre is poised to unlock new opportunities for businesses and reinforce the Middle East’s position in the global supply chain landscape.”

AD Ports Group aims to leverage its expertise in digital trade solutions and smart logistics to optimize operations at the facility, ensuring maximum efficiency and economic benefits. The partnership is expected to deliver substantial improvements, such as a 20% reduction in clearance times, improved cargo security, and scalable infrastructure capable of handling around 1,000 trucks in the import and transit yard, with future expansion plans already in place.

This contract strengthens AD Ports Group’s presence in Jordan, where it already operates the Aqaba Cruise Terminal and has recently partnered with MAG Group to begin the first phase of the Marsa Zayed beachfront project in Aqaba.
