Waberer’s Group has completed its first build-to-own warehouse project ahead of schedule.

The company delivered the new facility to Magyar Posta at the end of 2025. The original deadline was the first quarter of 2026.

The greenfield project produced a nearly 25,000-square-metre parcel logistics centre. The site gives Magyar Posta a modern hub designed for high-volume parcel handling.

First project for the real estate division

The development marks an important milestone for Waberer’s real estate unit. It is the company’s first project designed for an external customer and built for future sale.

Waberer’s created the site to meet customer-specific technical needs. The design also allows for future technologies such as automation and robotics.

The company said the project now serves as a reference point for its expansion into the logistics property market in Hungary and Central Eastern Europe.

Full responsibility from land to handover

Waberer’s managed every stage of the project.

The team selected the site, handled permits, prepared designs, and coordinated construction. It also completed the final handover of the building.

For the first time, the company used its “one-stop-shop” development model for an external client. Until now, Waberer’s had only applied this model to its own facilities.

Built for modern parcel operations

The centre stands on an 8.3-hectare industrial site. The building covers nearly 25,000 square metres.

The warehouse supports advanced automation systems. Magyar Posta is installing a modern conveyor-based parcel sorting system at the site.

Waberer’s said the project represents more than just a completed building. It signals the launch of a new business line focused on logistics property development.

Executive comment

György Szucsány, Director of Real Estate Development at Waberer’s, said the project faced tight deadlines and complex technical demands.

He said the company used its logistics and construction experience to deliver a future-ready facility that will remain efficient for decades.

The company described the building as modern, sustainable, and capable of adapting to new technologies.

Expansion across Central and Eastern Europe

Waberer’s plans to grow its real estate development business across the region.

The company aims to deliver more tailored warehouse projects in Hungary and neighbouring markets. It will pursue both lease-based and sale-based developments.

Waberer’s thanked Magyar Posta and its project partners for their cooperation.
