Sweden's Thun Tankers has placed an order for two purpose-built product carriers specifically designed to navigate restricted waterways and smaller ports. The Gothenburg-based operator, a division of the Erik Thun Group, announced that the vessels will be constructed at the Dutch shipyard Ferus Smit, with deliveries scheduled for 2028 and 2029. The company did not disclose the financial details of the order. These ships will feature the innovative 'AccessMAX' design, which has been tailored for optimal performance in challenging maritime environments.
