Vietnamese domestic carrier Thilogy Shipping has placed an order for two 1,900 TEU container vessels at CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding, according to Dynaliners.
The vessels are scheduled for delivery in December 2027 and March 2028, respectively.
Thilogy Shipping is a small domestic operator currently running a limited fleet that includes a 650 TEU container ship and a 4,500 dwt multipurpose vessel with a capacity of 228 TEU. The newbuildings will significantly expand the company’s operating capacity and mark a step forward in its fleet development.
The order reflects continued investment by regional and domestic carriers in modern tonnage to support growing coastal and short-sea container demand in Southeast Asia.
