Oslo-listed seismic data specialist TGS has won an OBN acquisition contract in the Gulf of Mexico.
The 4D monitor survey is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2025, and the acquisition duration is approximately four and a half months.
The contract was not included in the booked position disclosed in TGS’ second quarter 2025 presentation. The client was not revealed but was described as a “repeat international oil company customer”.
“The client [is] confident we will deliver high-quality data and insights to optimise production from one of their highest producing facilities in the Gulf of Mexico,” said Kristian Johansen, CEO of TGS.
