Strategic inventories have a profound impact on the shipping sector by influencing operations, logistics planning, and even the configuration of global shipping routes.

As Container News reported, Peter Sand, chief analyst at Xeneta, highlighted Mexico, Latin America, and the Middle East as critical markets for China’s exports, pointing out that Chinese producers have been amassing “strategic stockpiles” to mask the origins of their goods in case tariffs are implemented.
