DSV Chooses Agility Logistics Park in Maputo for Efficient Operations
DSV, a global leader in freight and logistics, has selected the Agility Logistics Park in Mozambique for managing storage and distribution for a prominent global beverage customer. The Agility park, situated in Mozambique’s capital, Maputo, emerges as the preferred choice for DSV, securing 12,000 SQM with an option to expand by an additional 2,000 SQM to accommodate seasonal demands.
Philipp Buechler, Managing Director of DSV Mozambique, emphasized the importance of a safe, secure, and efficient distribution center in their business model. The Agility warehouses meet international standards and operational requirements while adhering to strict HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) standards. Buechler sees this partnership as a key milestone in DSV’s supply chain strategy, supporting business growth in Mozambique.
Located strategically on the Maputo Ring Road in Marracuene, the Agility Logistics Park offers efficient distribution across the country and into Maputo. Within a 25-kilometer radius of the Maputo port and airport, the N4 highway to South Africa, and the capital’s Central Business District, the park is well-positioned for logistical excellence.
Agility, funding and developing 300,000 SQM of warehouses on-site, aims to create a center of excellence for warehousing in the region. These warehouses cater to the needs of multinational companies and local businesses, providing essential infrastructure for storage, distribution, packaging, processing, and light manufacturing.
Geoffrey White, CEO Agility Africa, expressed delight in DSV’s choice of the Agility Logistics Park, highlighting the significance of international-standard warehouses for economic growth. Post-pandemic, demand in Maputo has surged from both local and international companies, prompting Agility to expand the warehouse park and invest further in warehousing to support economic growth, job creation, and prosperity in Mozambique.
