In its latest fleet status report, Stena Drilling has revealed details of several new deals won by the company’s rigs.
The 2012-built Stena IceMAX drillship has won a four-well firm campaign in Egypt for an unknown operator with work scheduled to begin in February 2026.
The estimated duration of this campaign is approximately 190 days. Extension options are available for the unit in Egypt with the same operator beyond the firm scope.
The 2001-built semi-submersible rig Stena Don secured a four-well firm programme for an undisclosed operator in the UK, also starting in February 2026.
The campaign is expected to last around ten months, with four six-month extensions available to the operator after that. If all options are exercised, Stena Don will remain employed until the end of 2028.
Stena DrillMAX and Stena Carron have been working for ExxonMobil’s subsidiary, Esso Exploration and Production, in Guyana for several years.
The first has firm commitments with the company for the rest of 2025, with options to extend beyond this, while the Stena Carron is now firmly committed throughout 2026, with additional extension options.
