Rhenus establishes headquarters in Pasay to enhance international freight operations and expand its global shared Service center capabilities, while, plans warehousing expansion through a custom-built facility scheduled for 2026 completion.

Drawing on over a century of freight forwarding expertise, the German-headquartered Rhenus Group has established a comprehensive global network and is positioned to enhance its Philippine operations.

The logistics firm advances its domestic growth strategy through a combined US$20 million investment encompassing service expansion consolidated within a new headquarters, an enlarged Global Shared Service Center supporting international operations, and improved warehousing capabilities by 2026.

The Pasay headquarters will accommodate multiple solution portfolios and unify entities under one facility:

• Rhenus Air & Ocean: International Freight Forwarding

• Rhenus Warehousing Solutions: Warehousing & Contract Logistics

• Rhenus Freight Intelligence: Global Shared Service Center

Strategically positioned on Bayshore Avenue, Pasay, the nearly 1,000 square meter facility supports anticipated business expansion and workforce development.

Marco Heer, Managing Director of Rhenus Philippines, Air & Ocean, stated that the new headquarters opening marks a significant milestone in the expansion strategy to achieve market-leading freight forwarding status.

Additional initiatives include a new state-of-the-art Built-to-Suit warehouse facility, targeted for 2026 completion.

The 20,000 square meter warehouse is designed as one of the Philippines’ highest-compliance facilities, accommodating both Dangerous Goods and Non-DG products. This facility supplements existing warehousing operations across five locations in Manila, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao.

With the Philippines’ freight and logistics market projected to expand from US$ 15.26 billion in 2025 to USD 20.41 billion by 2030, Rhenus is scaling its presence to address increasing demand for premium logistics and warehousing services.

Joachim Hanssen, CEO APAC, Rhenus Air & Ocean, said that the Philippines represents a strategic APAC market with exceptional future potential and through these investments they aim to position it as an innovation and excellence hub within the global network

Through four strategic locations, Manila headquarters and nationwide presence in Cebu, Davao and Cagayan de Oro, it provides integrated logistics solutions across key trade corridors.
