The Rhenus Group has entered into a long-term logistics partnership in Germany with ZWILLING. The company is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of premium kitchen products. Its brands include ZWILLING, STAUB, MIYABI, DEMEYERE, and BALLARINI & HENCKELS.

The collaboration provides the Wesel site with a multi-year planning and operational outlook. It includes investments in modern logistics processes.

Comprehensive Services for European Logistics

Rhenus manages European logistics for a wide range of products. These include knives, cookware, kitchen appliances, storage and vacuum systems, grill accessories, cutlery, and kitchen tools.

Beyond classic warehousing, Rhenus provides value-added services. These include engraving, kitting, and central returns management.

Operational activities began in August with a defined portion of ZWILLING’s online business. The operations have been gradually expanded since then. The goal is to handle ZWILLING Germany’s complete logistics processes via the Wesel site by the end of Q1 2026.

ZWILLING will serve all sales channels from this location. This includes B2B and D2C. The company will also supply its own overseas subsidiaries with products from European production via the logistics hub.

Modern Infrastructure Supports Growth

The Wesel site features a high-bay warehouse with up to approximately 26,000 pallet spaces. It includes a Kardex AutoStore system with an initial 110,000 bins.

Andreas Mayer, Member of the Management Board of Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Germany, emphasized the partnership’s strategic importance. “The partnership with ZWILLING is an important element of our strategic development in Germany,” he stated. It demonstrates how Rhenus works with strong brands to drive growth, automation, and high service quality. Wesel is an ideal location and a prime example of future-oriented network expansion.

Favorable Location Drives Site Selection

ZWILLING opted for Wesel due to its favorable geographical location. The site offers proximity to key sales markets and the port. Available potential for growth and expansion influenced the decision.

The site offers a modern and sustainable logistics environment. It provides the infrastructure required to further develop and scale the partnership over the long term.

Henning Brands, Branch Manager of Rhenus Wesel, commented on the collaboration. “With ZWILLING, we are gaining a long-established and internationally renowned partner who aligns perfectly with Rhenus in terms of quality, efficiency and sustainability,” he said. The expansion strengthens the site long-term. It creates new jobs and highlights that Rhenus is ideally positioned to support demanding customers with modern and automated logistics concepts.

Centralized European Distribution Hub

Dr. Alexander Gulden, COO of ZWILLING J.A. Henckels AG, explained the company’s strategy. “We are restructuring our European distribution logistics and concentrating them in a central European logistics hub,” he stated.

Rhenus is a reliable and forward-looking partner. The company meets ZWILLING’s high quality and service requirements. The modern infrastructure in Wesel offers the best conditions. It makes logistics processes efficient, scalable, and sustainable.

The partnership underscores the strategic importance of the Wesel site within the Rhenus Group. It highlights how modern logistics concepts, automation, and sustainability contribute to long-term growth. They create stable employment opportunities.
