PSA Singapore and Hainan Harbor & Shipping International Port, operator of Yangpu International Container Terminal, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen port-to-port connectivity and develop advanced logistics solutions.

The partnership focuses on improving connectivity between Singapore, the world’s largest transshipment hub operated by PSA, and Yangpu Port, the largest container terminal in Hainan, managed by YPICT.

Both parties will jointly explore operational synergies to enhance service efficiency, cargo flow, and network reliability between South China and Southeast Asia.

The MoU also supports the long-term development of logistics and supply chain infrastructure across Hainan Island, aligning with the growth objectives of China’s Free Trade Port strategy.

Nelson Quek, Regional CEO Southeast Asia, PSA International, stated that combining PSA’s extensive global network with YPICT’s pivotal location in South China gives a chance to unlock new opportunities for trade flows between South China and the greater economic regions in Southeast Asia.

Wang Ran, Chairman, Hainan Harbor & Shipping Holding added through close collaboration with PSA they aim to further enhance trade flows between China and Southeast Asia, strengthening both partners’ port connectivity and operational excellence.
