Pacific International Lines’ LNG-powered container ship Kota Odyssey has made its first entry into the Red Sea. The vessel completed its maiden call at Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Gateway Terminal.
The call marks a milestone for PIL in advancing cleaner shipping operations in the region. The deployment reflects collaboration between PIL and its partners toward more efficient and environmentally friendly shipping.

PIL commemorated the occasion with representatives from Red Sea Gateway Terminal, Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI), and Saudi Customs Authority. The vessel crew and PIL Arabia staff also attended the event.
PIL operates a regional office in Saudi Arabia. The company said strong partnerships and operational excellence enable it to support customers with cleaner shipping solutions while strengthening regional connectivity.

The Kota Odyssey is part of PIL’s efforts to reduce emissions through LNG-powered vessels. LNG fuel produces lower greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional marine fuels.
