Pilbara Ports moves 68.5Mt in September 2025

Pilbara Ports delivered a total monthly throughput of 68.5 million tonnes (Mt) in September 2025, a 3% increase compared to the same month in 2024.

The Port of Port Hedland recorded 49.4Mt in total throughput, including 48.6Mt of iron ore exports, marking a 1% decrease year-on-year. Imports reached 214,000 tonnes, down 5% from September 2024.

The Port of Dampier handled 15.1Mt, maintaining similar volumes to last year, while imports totalled 107,000 tonnes, a 26% decrease compared to 2024.

The Port of Ashburton saw significant growth, with 4.1Mt moved, a 179% increase year-on-year.

Throughput variations reflect shifts in market conditions, port maintenance, and customer demand.
