Greece’s Performance Shipping has secured a fresh time charter for one of its tankers, agreeing a year-long fixture with Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC).
The 105,304 dwt LR2/aframax P Aliki has been fixed at a daily rate of $30,000 for a firm period of 12 months, with the PNSC holding an option to adjust by plus or minus 15 days.
The 2010-built vessel is currently completing its third special survey and drydock, with redelivery from yard work expected by mid-September 2025, at which point it will start service with the state-owned carrier.
Before entering drydock, the P Aliki had been on a six-month charter with Seariver Maritime, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil, at $33,500 per day.
Nasdaq-listed Performance said the new charter deal adds around $10.5m in secured revenue, pushing its total charter backlog to about $250.5m based on minimum durations as of the last reporting period.
Performance chief executive Andreas Michalopoulos called the deal “a meaningful earnings contributor” and emphasized its alignment with the company’s strategy of locking in attractive rates to maintain cash flow visibility.
