Norwegian offshore shipowner and operator Østensjø Rederi has revealed several new contracts and extensions for its fleet worth approximately NOK 3bn ($263m).
The company agreed to extend existing contracts with DeepOcean for the 2016-built Edda Freya and the 2008-built Edda Flora through 2026 and the 2008-built Edda Fauna through 2027.
The start of the contracts is scheduled as a direct continuation of current contracts. The vessels have been under contract with DeepOcean since their delivery.
The company also won an extension for the 2011-built flotel Edda Fides with the current charterer for approximately six months, with additional options available. The vessel is currently operating off Angola.
The 2022-built flotel Edda Fortis will begin a firm-month contract, with additional options available, for an unnamed international client this spring. The vessel will work in the Mediterranean Sea.
The final contract was won by the 2009-built Edda Frende PSV. It will begin a one-year firm contract with Shell in the first quarter of 2025. The contract includes further options, and the vessel will be performing supply duties in the North Sea on the UK continental shelf.
