Norwegian Car Carriers AS (NOCC) has taken delivery of its newest vessel, NOCC Pacific, during a handover ceremony in Yantai, China. The modern car carrier, built with dual-fuel LNG capability, features a capacity of 7,000 CEU, significantly expanding NOCC’s ability to serve global automotive trade routes.
The vessel carries forward a legacy name within the company. It succeeds the 1970-built Dyvi Pacific, a pioneering NOCC car carrier of its time with a capacity of 2,725 CEU. The new NOCC Pacific represents both a technological step forward and a nod to the company’s long-standing heritage in the sector.
NOCC extended its well-wishes to the vessel and its crew, expressing confidence in smooth operations as NOCC Pacific begins service in the global fleet.
