Singapore-based Norse Ship Management is enhancing crew and operational connectivity across its fleet. The company has deployed Inmarsat Maritime’s NexusWave service on one of its bulk carriers, with installation supported by distribution partner Station Satcom.

NexusWave is a fully managed bonded connectivity service. It provides unlimited data, global coverage, and fast speeds. The system enables smooth web-based applications and real-time engine monitoring, giving crews a home-like internet experience onboard.

Capt. Akshay Yadava, Managing Director of Norse Ship Management, said crew welfare is a top priority. “Providing a reliable, home-like internet keeps our crews happy and motivated,” he said. “NexusWave ensures consistent high-speed connectivity for both business and crew needs.”

The platform’s network bonding technology combines all available networks to maximize speed and capacity. This ensures secure, high-performance connectivity for both ship operations and remote business-critical applications.

Anshul Khanna, Director at Station Satcom, said the deployment reflects their commitment to smarter, safer, and more connected maritime operations. Justin Yi, Regional Director at Inmarsat Maritime, added that the rollout highlights Norse Ship Management’s forward-looking approach to digitalisation.

NexusWave will soon integrate the next-generation ViaSat-3 Ka-band network, further boosting speed and capacity for maritime users.
