The Philippines’ Mindanao Container Terminal (MCT), operated by International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI), recently received the inaugural call of SITC’s new China-Philippines Express 7 (CXP7) service.

This new service addresses the growing export volume of fresh produce such as pineapples and bananas from Bukidnon, offering exporters in Mindanao a transportation solution, and improving connectivity to markets in China.

“SITC’s new service is designed to meet the growing demand for increased calls at MCT that will cater to the needs of pineapple and banana shippers for timely exports to China,” explained Aurelio Garcia, MCT CEO.

The CPX7 service rotation includes the ports of Shanghai, China; Wenzhou, China; Manila (South), Philippines; Cebu, Philippines; Cagayan de Oro (MCT), Philippines with calls at MCT every Monday.

The service’s maiden call at MCT was marked by the arrival of the 1,800 TEU vessel SITC Haode.
