Swiss/Italian ocean carrier MSC has added the ports of Gothenburg and Aarhus to its Europe – Far East – US West Coast Swan-Sentosa pendulum.

The inclusion of the Danish port of Aarhus is notable, as it is currently operated by APM Terminals, a subsidiary of Maersk. However, MSC has announced plans to develop its own container facility in the area—a move that has sparked strong opposition from its former 2M partner.

According to DynaLiners, the updated port rotation of Swan-Sentosa will be as follows:

Sines (Portugal), Le Havre (France), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Gothenburg (Sweden), Aarhus (Denmark), Hamburg (Germany), Antwerp (Belgium), Port Kelang (Malaysia), Singapore (Singapore), Laem Chabang (Thailand), Ho Chi Minh (Cai Mep, Vietnam), Busan (South Korea), Long Beach (US), Oakland (US), Yokohama (Japan), Ningbo (China), Shanghai (China), Xiamen (China), Shenzhen (Yantian, China), Singapore, and back to Sines (Portugal).
