Swiss-Italian carrier MSC and German shipping line Hapag-Lloyd have announced a change to their joint Mediterranean–East Coast South America (MSE/SAEC) service.

The Port of Montevideo (Uruguay) will be replaced by the Port of Navegantes (Brazil) in the following updated rotation:

Valencia (Spain) – Barcelona (Spain) – Leghorn (Italy) – Genoa (Italy) – Valencia (Spain) – Suape (Brazil) – Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) – Santos (Brazil) – Paranagua (Brazil) – Itapoa (Brazil) – Navegantes (Brazil) – Santos (Brazil) – Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) – Las Palmas (Spain) – Malaga (Spain) – Valencia (Spain)

It is important to note that Las Palmas and Malaga will be called exclusively by MSC-operated vessels.

The service is maintained by a fleet of nine 9,000 TEU container ships, with MSC contributing eight vessels and Hapag-Lloyd providing one boxship.
