Danish ocean carrier Maersk has decided to make changes to its Middle East to Europe (ME2) service aiming for more consistent schedules.

Maersk announced it will remove Germany’s Bremerhaven port from the service rotation with the last call in the German port expected on 11 October.

“Bremerhaven will continue to be served using the Samba service and transshipping in Port Tangiers,” noted the company.

The new ME2 rotation will be Jebel Ali (UAE) – Mundra (India) – Jawaharlal Nehru (India) – Port Tangiers (Morocco) – Algeciras (Spain) – Rotterdam (Netherlands) – Felixstowe (UK) – Port Tangiers – Salalah (Oman).

The first vessel on the new rotation will be Maersk Tukang, which is scheduld to call Port Tangiers on 1 October. Meanwhile, the first Samba vessel covering Bremehaven will be San Raphael on 18 October.
