Lloyd’s Agency Network moves to Lloyd’s List Intelligence

Commercial insurance market Lloyd’s will transfer management of the Lloyd’s Agency Network to Lloyd’s List Intelligence (LLI) from April, bringing one of shipping’s longest-running portside information networks under the control of the maritime data provider.
The move will see LLI take responsibility for the administration of the global network, including agent accreditation, quality standards and agency agreements.
The Lloyd’s Agency Network dates back to 1811 and has long provided local expertise and casualty reporting for the marine insurance market.
LLI said bringing the network in-house would allow closer integration with its vessel tracking and data analytics services.
The company added that it expects the move to strengthen event verification and improve coverage in complex or higher-risk regions, including cases where vessel tracking data needs confirmation from local sources.
The network will continue to operate under the Lloyd’s Agents brand after the transfer, maintaining its link to the Lloyd’s insurance market while becoming part of LLI’s wider intelligence platform.
