Offshore engineering and services player Subsea7 has won a deal from US exploration and production company LLOG Exploration for work on the Buckskin South Expansion project.
The scope of work includes the transportation and installation of a subsea umbilical and a rigid flowline in water depths of up to 2,100 m.
Project management and engineering activities will begin immediately from Subsea7’s Houston office, with offshore operations scheduled for 2026 and 2027. The contract is described as sizeable, placing it in the $50m to $150m range.
“We are proud to continue working alongside LLOG to deliver greater value from their US developments, building on successes such as the Salamanca project, which recently achieved first oil,” said Craig Broussard, SVP for Subsea7 for the Gulf of Mexico.
Buckskin is a deepwater oil and gas field in the US Gulf of Mexico that began producing in 2019. The development takes advantage of existing infrastructure as it is tied back to Oxy’s Lucius spar platform. It is located approximately 305 km off the coast of Texas.
